Rushe Fitness member Emmet Mc Namee was anounced the champion of the ever popular Summer Shape Up challenge in front of over 50 of his fellow gym members.
They had all gathered for the end of summer presentation in Century Complex in Letterkenny.
Emmet was the overall winner of the €1000 holiday voucher and was over the moon with the win.
He was awarded the prize based on his positive and subtle approach to the challenge.
A busy husband and father, Emmet had a busy summer renovating his home, but still made time to get to the gym and to take part in all the weekly challenges.
He also made some incredible video footage of his summer fitness journey and this all lead to him being crowned the grand prize winner.
He was so shocked when his name was called out, that he had already started to applaude the winner before he realised that it was him.
Second prize of a €500 holiday voucher which was sponsored by the challenge partners Atlantic Travel went to Pete Rose.
Pete’s constant drive and motivation of others during the challenge was applauded and appreciated by all members.
3rd Prize of a €250 holiday voucher went to Donna Sterrit for the biggest overall change during the challenge.
Donna won this for making a complete life change for the better during the challenge and showed what hard work and determination can do.
Other prizes were sponsored by local businesses and went to deserving members who went above and beyond during the challenge.
Prizes were sponsored by;
The Shandon Hotel and Spa
Michael Murphy Sport and Leisure
Kelly’s Centra Mountain TopLetterkenny
Noel O Donnell Chartered Accountants
Century Complex Letterkenny
I honestly wish that I could have given everyone who was involved in the challenge as they all put in amazing efforts over the summer months.
Whether they have just joined our fitness community or have been with us since the beginning, we are so proud of them and they are an incredible bunch of people.
This challenge has reminded me of what a great community the Rushe Fitness members are.
